'Let's start to shine...'

Hello! I’m Anna Gilderson a dancer, choreographer and teacher. With a passion for encouraging, growing and releasing others to have fun, be who they are and use their creativity.
Dance and movement is at the heart of what I do. It’s an excellent form of communication that crosses boundaries and cultures and talks about things that people may find hard to. I try to cross some of those boundaries in the work that I do.
Living Colour Creative is about my desire to develop, share and expand the work I do with uC Grace and my daily life. There are so many times in life where we let things pass us by, rather than realising what’s there! We should be expectant for the things to come, expectant that God will move.
My biggest passion is combining my love for dance and movement with my love for faith, challenging people’s journey’s, encouraging them to draw closer to God.

For such a time as this...

Friday's DancePosted by Anna Sun, July 20, 2014 20:35:50

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? Esther 4.14

Our Living Colour SEED workshop we had last week was a lovely time spent catching up with some people who we hadn't seen for a while, as well as hearing about some testimonies of how dance had been used in people’s lives since we last saw them.

We looked at the story of Esther and how God moved in her story, when she was unaware of it. In small groups it was encouraged to describe a time in our past when God worked through circumstances our life to bring something about, it was noted that we may only have recognised this after it had happened.

Over the evening we explored the song ‘Here Waiting’ from Covenant Worships new album, Kingdom. We really wanted to draw into the presence of God and get the sense that in our journey we have to wait and be patient to allow God to work among us and through us.

Although we were in a lovely space at Emmanuel Church, it meant it was very hard to capture it on video (need to get a wide angle lenses!), it was a great opportunity to work on creating different floor patterns and shapes into and out of groups. And will hopefully be a dance that we can develop further in the future.
