'Let's start to shine...'

Hello! I’m Anna Gilderson a dancer, choreographer and teacher. With a passion for encouraging, growing and releasing others to have fun, be who they are and use their creativity.
Dance and movement is at the heart of what I do. It’s an excellent form of communication that crosses boundaries and cultures and talks about things that people may find hard to. I try to cross some of those boundaries in the work that I do.
Living Colour Creative is about my desire to develop, share and expand the work I do with uC Grace and my daily life. There are so many times in life where we let things pass us by, rather than realising what’s there! We should be expectant for the things to come, expectant that God will move.
My biggest passion is combining my love for dance and movement with my love for faith, challenging people’s journey’s, encouraging them to draw closer to God.

Drawing In

Friday's DancePosted by Anna Fri, September 13, 2013 10:09:23

What’s really challenging me at the moment is relying totally on God, I spoke about Jesus being our great adventure earlier in the week and I am repeating that to myself a lot. Along with this is the desire to keep drawing closer to God. God is ready and waiting to get closer to us, but he wants us to realise where he is and want to draw him that bit closer.

So this week when I was thinking about the Friday dance I wanted it to symbolise that act of drawing closer to God and needing more of him each day. So, I just choreographed and danced, the words ‘draw in’ were the inspiration. I’d made up my mind that I was going to go outside to film it, come rain or shine! Thankfully there was no rain, or wind and it was incredibly calm and peaceful. Much like this picture here from a workshop we ended up running outside because we couldn't get in the building - the lady sitting on the flags is called Emma.

So maybe think about some of the following words and decide how much more you want to draw God into your life, your words and your actions. As you draw him in, he’ll also flow out in new ways.

Draw into me and I will instil a heart that beats only for you

Encompass my being and cover me when I need it most

‘When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads….’
