'Let's start to shine...'

Hello! I’m Anna Gilderson a dancer, choreographer and teacher. With a passion for encouraging, growing and releasing others to have fun, be who they are and use their creativity.
Dance and movement is at the heart of what I do. It’s an excellent form of communication that crosses boundaries and cultures and talks about things that people may find hard to. I try to cross some of those boundaries in the work that I do.
Living Colour Creative is about my desire to develop, share and expand the work I do with uC Grace and my daily life. There are so many times in life where we let things pass us by, rather than realising what’s there! We should be expectant for the things to come, expectant that God will move.
My biggest passion is combining my love for dance and movement with my love for faith, challenging people’s journey’s, encouraging them to draw closer to God.

The joy of the small things - Beautiful River

Friday's DancePosted by Anna Fri, May 27, 2016 21:24:14

So today, I finally managed to sit down and start going through the footage from the dance retreat to try and piece sections together into a bit of a highlight video. Tough Decisions!! There was so much lovely work created over the weekend, you can see God in all that everyones dances, such a privilege to be able to revisit and see people’s journey. My aim is to get it finished this weekend, and then I will share it with you.

But along the way I found one video from the weekend that had me in stitches. The embarrassing bit was that I was in my garden watching the videos when I discovered it, so yes, I was laughing on my own, at laptop screen, what the neighbours thought, who knows!

But it really spoke to me. The video is of the last session on the Sunday morning, where we were moving around different stations, cementing the things God had spoken to us during our journey there. One station was the river, and dancers were encouraged to get in the river and encase themselves, in God, laying their journey down.

Sometimes such a task can be taken seriously, but God puts laughter, exploration and fun in our soul. He wants us in his river, exploring Him, growing closer to him and having fun doing so. So, sit back and laugh whilst you watch this video. Embrace the journey you are on at the moment, roll in Gods beautiful river and let laughter lead the way for a bit!
